The "door-to-door" terms
Each marketing sector creates its own technical terminology.
In order to have a better dialogue with the Customer, we
suggest hereby some door-to-door terms:
"DOOR-TO-DOOR" DISTRIBUTION:
is the "door-to-door" distribution
of flyers.
FLYERS: material to be distributed inside post boxes.
ABSORPTION: the number of distributable flyers in a determined area, with the exclusion of low population density streets or areas.
GROUP LEADER: professional person in charge of managing and supervising the distributors in assigned areas.
DISTRIBUTOR: the person under the Group Leader, in charge of distributing flyers inside post boxes.
INACCESSIBLES: residence numbers where it was impossible to distribute the message for contingent reasons.
COLOUR CODE: one (or more) wax pastel-drawn lines marked on the side of every flyer batch handed out to each group leader. This code makes it possible to always trace the person in charge.
COMBINED: it is the distribution of two or more flyers of different Customers, in the same area and at the same time. Yet, these flyers are distributed inside the post boxes in a separate way.
VERTICAL DISTRIBUTION: the
distribution in the city where there is a big number of buildings
(which is why it is "VERTICAL"). The distributor, thus, works
faster. This is the reason why, generally speaking, distribution
in cities is less costly.
HORIZONTAL DISTRIBUTION: the distribution carried out in towns where long distances are covered to reach few post boxes, due to the fact that some residences have one family or 2-3 post boxes maximum.
CROSS-TIED BOX: in order to facilitate the distribution, it is necessary that the material be delivered, at the established time and place, in cross-tied bundles of 5 kg max.
